Celebrating a wedding in Megeve
The day before Claire and Matthew’s wedding, I was lucky enough to be able to take their couple’s photos with a view of Mont Blanc. With our feet in the snow, we took pictures in the middle of the mountain, a few steps away from the high altitude chalet where all the loved ones were having lunch. Thanks to this session, I was able to get into the couple’s bubble in order to take strong and lively pictures with a beautiful sun.
The Alpaga Hotel, a unique reception venue
Hotel Alpaga is a luxurious hotel overlooking Megeve and offers an incredible view of a mountain range. For the big day, everything was ready. The decoration was perfect, the sun was shining and the beautiful bride had the privilege to get ready with her friends and bridesmaid. The day was going to be very joyful and festive. The ceremony took place outside, facing the panorama. It was a magical moment when all the conditions were met to celebrate this union.
After the couple’s photo session in the mountain, the dances started after the Horah, the jewish tradition of the raised chair. I loved the energy of the dances and the emotion during the speeches of the family members.
I have very strong memories of this wedding in Megeve, especially the kindness, simplicity and smiles of Claire and Matthew and their guests.
This wedding reportage in the Alps was one of my best memory of this season.
