Laetitia and Bastien live and have a very active life in Congo. Their dream was to get married in a civil ceremony in Marseille and to carry out a lay ceremony in the beautiful Bastide de Puget, near Aix en Provence. So on Friday, I had the privilege to be the photographer for their civil wedding, surrounded by their loved ones. The cocktail took place at the Hôtel Dieu Intercontinental in Marseille. Between two drinks, I invited the couple to do a couple session shooting to immortalize this joyful moment. I really liked Laetitia’s very classy and modern outfit.
The next day, I’m back with the couple for the big day. The whole day took place near Aix en Provence, in the magnificent Bastide de Puget. During the preparations, the couple had written a letter to each other, which provoked some beautiful tears and emotions. The ceremony outside was also very bright and colourful, thanks in particular to the work of the florist who knew how to dress a huge arch.
There were many beautiful and sincere speeches that touched the hearts of the bride and groom. Then Laetitia and Bastien went to the dance floor. During their first dance, they literally found themselves together. Nothing existed around them anymore. They created a bubble and danced in it for long minutes. Laetitia then set fire to the dance floor surrounded by her witnesses and friends until the end of the night.
In love with Provence, I document many weddings in the Aix en Provence area. Whether in the backcountry, in the surrounding bastides or in the lavender fields, I accompany you in order to create strong, natural and above all meaningful images. My approach which mixes photo reportage and artistic editorial photography highlights this great day.
