Winter wedding in the Alps, at the foot of Mont Blanc

Maria & Lauri, a Finnish couple chose Chamonix, at the foot of Mont Blanc, for their wedding in the Alps. The preparations took place in beautiful Savoyard chalets near Chamonix. I was lucky enough to be able to take the first look, the important moment when they discover each other. It was a very intense moment for the two of them before meeting the guests again.

Ceremony at the Cabane des Praz in Chamonix

The ceremony took place at La Cabane des Praz, a beautiful wooden reception hall overlooking the Pic des Drus. I really enjoyed the moment when Maria sang while the bridesmaid  and the best men  were playing the guitar. There was a lot of emotion on behalf of the bride and groom, the bridesmaid, the best men  but also the guests.

During the dinner, there were moving speeches that touched the bride and groom very much. During these speeches, there were unique opportunities to make beautiful compositions and to highlight the personalities of each speaker. I really felt a very close and tight family circle.

The wedding night started with a beautiful first dance and then ended with a live band that electrified the dancefloor!

Sylvain was the photographer at our wedding in Chamonix. He was with us the entire day from first looks until the late-night party. In addition to being pleasant and fun, his pictures of our day were and are really amazing.
They were wonderful and fun already when seeing them right after the wedding, but now (almost two years later, when we looked at them again) we can truly appreciate how great they are.
