Organize your wedding in the mountains
It’s never easy to organize your wedding in the mountains, especially in winter. And even less so when the bride and groom both work in Paris. Nathanaëlle and Axel had a dream, and that dream was to organise their wedding in a mountain chalet, lost in the mountains, and to invite their family and friends for a whole weekend (or even a week for the luckiest!).
A mountain gîte to get married, the Gîte du Passant
The future married couple had a big crush on an authentic farm with a mountain gîte atmosphere: Le Gîte du Passant located in the mountain pastures at 1300 m altitude. To access this magnificent farmhouse restored by passionate owners, you have to count 15-20 mn walk in the snow or be dropped off in a 4WD. Getting married on January 21st, in a site not necessarily easy to access, you have to dare or, like Nathanëlle and Axel, be a mountain lover. And in their case, their bet proved to be a winner.
A wedding in the Alps under the sun and the snow
Indeed, on the wedding day, a radiant sun illuminated the Aravis mountain range and freshly fallen snow. In the morning, the guests could toboggan down the fields or help the bride and groom prepare the space for the secular ceremony facing the Aravis mountains. In a good-natured and mountainous atmosphere, the couple fulfilled their alpine dream with a few surprises for their guests, including a giant raclette and a lively evening, punctuated by the interventions of the witnesses, friends and family.
